When some people say "woke", they are calling out things like insincere, cynical attempts at inclusivity in media for corporate gain.
However, there are a whole lot more people saying "woke" to obfuscate their own bigotry.
Maybe go with different words if expressing the former, is what I'm saying.

If you're using woke solely in the former way, all it means you're naively taking cues from folks using it the latter way.
I also agree that it's overused/overloaded.
I feel you might be giving them too much credit.
I've found that anyone who uses woke as a pejorative eventually tends to default to bigotry.
