Experience shows that most creatives do not care for any kind of criticism on their work unless the constructive kind is EXPLICITLY REQUESTED in the post.
Bad enough to piss off an artist, to add their fanbase on top of that is asking for a bad time.
I always welcome constructive criticism... Likes are nice, but I'm also just happy when someone takes a moment to appreciate the photo. But a dialog/discussion about the photo/art is the best.
Criticism is a point of view, everyone is entitled to have their POV but I don't feel the need to know that.
Instead I would like to know if an image inspire someone and why: a way to start a connection as likes and follows don't mean too much from my point of view and make social an arid place...
IDK...I think if someone is posting something they've already shot it, edited it, etc. and it is what it is by that point. Saying "you should have done xyz" isn't too helpful or wanted at that point. But maybe a "have you thought about xyz for next time" might be good. Just my $.02
I did just think of this. But even a great job sort of raises the work in the algorithm and gives it a chance to be seen. So honestly anything sort of helps work get seen.
I’ve come to the conclusion that unsolicited anything beyond praise isn’t well received. I either like or don’t click the heart. If I find the piece extraordinary I might comment. Otherwise, I’m saying nothing.
I'm fine with people making suggestions about any of my work with this limit: I don't tolerate any demeaning comments about any models I post. I've had people post "butter face" or "she's chubby" or "puny tits" and I won't tolerate that shit.
To add to this: a lot of new models or amateurs are scared of posing: it's a courageous jump for them. And the internet makes it easier to be a dick and suffer no consequences. So people can absolutely critique my work, critique the poses, but not the models or their bodies.

Honestly, I don't mind feedback as long as it's constructive, but it wouldn't hurt to get a bit of love now and again.

I feel criticism is better from “regular” engagers. But from someone who you don’t have some sort of engagement with, comes off a little rude.
