I'm not sure you are right. When you block they can no longer see anything or interact. But it takes a short amount of time for your follower count to update.

If you block someone they can’t see any of your posts.

I think they vanish from your follower count, but if you unblock them later they will reappear as a follower.

There’s no way at the moment to remove a follower (without blocking and keeping them blocked).

It doesn’t say in the message when you block that the account will not be allowed to follow you - only blocked from interacting or messaging.

I’ve block many accounts today and my follower count hasn’t budged.

Actually you’re right. The follower count doesn’t go down but the name vanishes from your list of followers.
