I just completed my MEd and had to write a paper contradicting the course and professor.
It’s so disheartening how many learning myths and debunked theories etc are constantly recycled through our education systems. Ugh 😩

There were really great, up to date profs and only a couple spewing the same tired old theories and learning myths.
I was disappointed though, and let the university know.

At least VARK is four reasonably different things. When I did the teaching and learning training at Sheffield, they introduced Honey and Munford's stupid misreading of Kolb at face value, which are basically four meaningless Barnum statements.

Even worse, people in the room were like "Wow, we should be, like, four different universities to cater to the different styles!" and "well, I'm an xxxx so I'd just ignore all of that material".
