Anytime the vote is 5 to 4 in favor of the Constitution it's beyond ominous. Reading the actual words in the Constitution concerning the Congress' power of the purse should have made it 9-0 against Trump.

You mean he can’t just not pay invoices for work already performed? But it worked so well in all of his cons up until now (I mean even with this kind of don’t pay your contractor grift he still filed for bankruptcy 6 times so I am not sure how well this tactic actually worked…)

Alito's claim that it was a judge, and not congress, deciding to spend the money shows that he is acting purely as a right-wing-politician and not rigidly apply the basic concepts of the constitution.

The judge didn't declare the expenditure, congress did. And it was dishonest to claim otherwise.

I guess accurately the judge below probably just said release the money. He probably didn't limit the order to the payable invoices. But the government would know very well which invoices were payable. So, come on people. By "people" I mean Alito. Unless perhaps "his wife" wrote that dissemt. 🤷)
