Pelosi has issued a statement urging Senate Democrats not to follow Shumer's lead.

Congress has the “false choice between a government shutdown or a blank check,” Pelosi wrote. “Let’s be clear: neither is a good option. But this false choice some are buying instead of fighting is unacceptable."
