Guess that's to be expected. They were just whining yesterday about decisions being made without their stamp of approval. So..there you go. They are publicly onboard with effing the poor.
Has anyone gone on the record for how this will benefit the American people, or are we only considering corporations in the "people" category now since they have all the money?
"The Supreme Court’s 2010 ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission is a controversial decision that reversed century-old campaign finance restrictions and enabled corporations and other outside groups to spend unlimited money on elections."
How dare we limit rich people's profits from the poor? These people will drag ordinary people back to dickensian living standards, one cruel decision after another.
President Biden limited
bank overdraft fees
to $5.
Saving working Americans
a nice chunk of their
paychecks.
"But nobody feels it,"
the corporate media
told us.
& now.
Trump takes the fee cap
back off, so that
Banks can
f*ck us over again.
Are we "Great" yet?
Well last Trump administration they did pass a bill that gave harsher punishments to animal abusers. That's about it. Otherwise it's been full speed on corporate and rich tax breaks and ending as many programs as possible that help the less fortunate.
Y'all saw this, too, right? #target thought it cool to simply remove the option to be notified if your account was past due. (I'm jaded and waiting for them (and then others) to remove the auto-pay feature next...)
Musk gets into federal payment systems and shuts social security payments to people living on retirement income and receiving survivor benefits and who is going to overdraw their accounts because they wrote checks on the understanding that their government checks would clear?
Dems passed a $5 cap on bank fees.
GOP said no. We have banks to please.
The cap is now gone so folks pay more.
The rich get richer. Grandma’s still poor.
Isn't it funny that fascists take the milquetoast liberal regulations implemented by democrats and weaponize them against us later? Why is it even an option to to reverse this stuff? Why do we tolerate a system that allows us to vote on our own rights?
Republicans never pass up an opportunity to fuck over their constituents to benefit wealthy companies and financial institutions. Remind me why working class people are voting Republican? I just want to understand.
This is why autocrats focus on culture wars to manipulate their people into accepting autocracy. Viktor Orban did it in Hungary, and so has Putin. The orange autocrat is following almost all of Orban's playbook.
I work in banking and I can tell you that even I think this is awful. When are voters going to finally realize that today’s GOP doesn’t give a rat’s a** about people who aren’t wealthy?
