So I think this is more of an ornamental plant than edible (though you can supposedly use it in food, but it doesn't taste like curry spices, it has a quite bitter flavour). The thing you put in curries comes from the curry tree, which has leaves that look a bit like small bay leaves
Oh interesting! I mean, it's not inedible, I think it gets used in Mediterranean cooking, just not commonly here. Definitely not in curries haha! The smell is cool though and the flowers are nice
