There's way too much focus on entries for golden demon and aop being "in universe" and I say ditch that and bring back fun. It's making entries kinda boring to look at in spite of technical skill.

I entered last year for the first time, got a notable entry, and couldn't be prouder, it'll probably be the last year I enter though. The categories and decisions are very arbitrary and the metrics aren't clear. It took a significant amount of the fun out of the hobby time for me in the end.
Even in universe is... fine to a degree. But this is so limiting your cant put a necromunda canopy on an AOS siege engine. AOS has poles and fabric in universe... it is not visually disjointed. But because that component is from a 40k kit, and AOS has no equivalent kit its now banned.
It's honestly such a pointless rule. If you'd made an identical canopy out dowel sticks and green stuff it would be perfectly acceptable, but a piece made by them isn't. Really a boneheaded rule
