I need to deep clean my wet palette and get a new sponge I think. It looks fine but always has a sweet fruity smell when I open it that wierds me out. It's not like a bad 'off' smell as such. - ThreadSky

My wet palette has turned to to papa nurgle, but it still works well so I guess I'll just keep using it until the inquisition turn up.

Did 1 session once with a homemade wet palette for few days, then left it alone for few weeks (ok, months!) Returned to find an 'interesting' cress-like growth.

Anyhow - he lives in garage now, pays rent, traps spiders, nice discussions on Kant & Nietzsche, etc.

it's prob because of calcium residue from different paints, mostly whites, if i had to guess.

I think it's because I used washing up liquid on the sponge that one time maybe.

I could make rubber balls with the state of the my non wet palette, reminded me to clean it 😂
