This is IMO one of Adam Driver’s boldest, most brilliant performances— he holds NOTHING back. I remember watching this film in a movie theatre & gasping at times, just marveling at how brilliantly he played every moment, w/out ever being over the top. THIS was an Oscar-worthy performance.

the Man Who Killed Don Quixote is a mad mess of a movie, but Adam is much more fun in it than in Mega. The 2 are comparable, if 10 years apart.

The Report is a must see, but it has some horrendous scenes.
Watch it once. Like TLD.

And both Gucci and Ferrari are good films, IMHO.

The Report was the first time i watched Adam out of SW, his past as a Marine vet greatly impressing me in the choice of this role.
He delivers a sober performance, animated with the gravitas of the story he tells.
I was floored by the subtle strength of his performance.

Ok I lied. I had seen him in Girls (does that really count tho?) and Marriage Story. BUT it was during my “AD is too angry and intense for me” period. Where any man who yelled a lot on TV (hi, Gordon Ramsey) gave me anxiety. Oh how the turntables.
