Trust me, it is not something you have to do, what people need to understand is that today’s world is not the world that our parents grew up in. The American dream of having a house and a nuclear family was supposed to also come with the community that allowed that to happen and we didn’t get that.

I appreciate y’all having this convo about parenthood because for quite some time now I’ve been judged because I’m 36, single and childless. It doesn’t bother me because I’m secure in my decisions but ppl tend to act like it’s something you HAVE to do regardless of what you want
