Pulling fucking teeth to try and get people to call a renamed sports team by the new name but sure- we're gonna rename a body of water that's gonna have the wrong name in every school textbook for a decade (cause schools update those only on pain of death) and THAT is gonna work.
What I find interesting is that the same people who are immediately fine with renaming a body of water, can't bother to use a trans person's preferred name. Which just shows it had nothing to do with "remembering" and everything to do with hatred - as we've said.
