Way back in Season 1 is the first glimpse we see of this and some amazing linguistic minds on Tumblr/Reddit realized that these runes sound out words in the English Language via phonetics! 2/5

Some may be confused on how this weeks episode had “AS” for the code. This cipher doesn’t spell out the letter word for word but rather sounds it out. It helps once you find the word to say it out loud to grasp what it is! 3/5

Perfect Example is in Hollow Mind! (Photo Courtesy of Bestie @urbanbirdbud) “S K AI Z” the ‘AI’ is a diphthong, known as a gliding vowel and commonly seen in Spanish! Sounding it out loud it would be S-KAH-EYE-Z aka Skies! 4/5

Other than that once you get the hang of the code you can go back to older episodes and read signs and such scattered around the Boiling Isles written in Runic! I’m a starving woman for world building and The Owl House having its own written language of witches is *chef kiss*. 5/5
