I feel like more queer people need to know that the best thing in professional wrestling right now is a bisexual woman playing the role of a delusional 1950s moviestar who will shout "I am here and I am queer" on national TV

Before being her butler, Luther specialized in matches that involved lots of weapons and blood ("deathmatch" wrestling), still holding on to some of the satanic vibes i guess
And in his early AEW days, he was in a fun tag team with Serpentico (Jon Cruz) where he would scream orders at Serpentico and use him as a weapon in matches.
I tell people that toni us a top 3, gender regardless, wrestlers and possibly top 1 today and they look at me like i have 12 eyes. Her ringwork is amazing, her matches are peak, and her storylines are perfection.
Tbf I get it. The comp in AEW alone is stiff AF. She's on a roster with Jamie, Kenny, Osprey, Mercedes, Takeshita, Swerve, Hangman, Willow, Okada, Ricochet, The Bucks, Speedball, etc. But I honestly couldn't legitimately challenge anyone for having her in any mix of those names as their top.
This is "Timeless" Toni Storm, AEW's Women's World Champion.
Following the end of her second title reign in 2023 she went certifiably insane, thinking she was a hollywood movie star and she's been must-watch television ever since.
Most notably she had a year long storyline with another great Bi wrestler called Mariah May. Mariah went from Toni's superfan to protege to lover before ultimately betraying her.
This also involved a sapphic love triangle
It was peak
Been looking for a primary source for a while and the best I can find is this (which is reasonably concrete) but I've seen it mentioned a lot the last couple years and she's never gone out of her way to say otherwise
Is… is this wrestling? Where was the wrestling? Am I turning an old turd? Don’t get me wrong, I’m into it artistically, but why… why is this *wrestling*?
Pro Wrestling is an artform that isn't just arm drags and dropkicks, public speaking to push the creation and explanation of motives and ideals is also part of it

I've seen all of Toni Storm's movies!
And I think he went to wrestling school with Jericho.
Tony Khan’s a legit fan of wrestling, so he’s done a lot with older wrestlers and “unknowns”. Like how he kept indie guys working during Covid.
(In reality he's a much beloved trainer and booker)
Thanks for sharing.
This is due to the men's title run being absolute garbage
but I WILL argue that even if the men's title run was doing better, Timeless would still reign

(here's a 2+ hour supercut of the whole thing)
Storm stood in front of a trans flag in front of a dark background a couple weeks ago with a big smile. Again no accident.

Also, come on, don’t act like you’ve never seen a wrestler cut a promo.
