In “The Tao of Leadership,” John Heider writes:
> “All these behaviors come from insecurity. They feed insecurity. None of them help the work. None contribute to the leader’s health… When you think you are so good, what are you comparing yourself with? God? Or your own insecurities?”

Today, the U.S. teeters as an unstable democracy, increasingly controlled by oligarchs.
To counter this, we need Human-Hearted Leadership, cultivated by the practices and principles of humility, compassion, non-contention, flexibility, impartiality, and commonality.
This mindset perpetuates division and, unchecked, leads to systemic oppression and violence.
Instead, we must build trust and understanding by finding middle ground.
Only in the middle — where opposing sides meet — can we discover what truly connects us.
