I’m not trying to be contentious, I just don’t come from a spot where I trust an unproven decision maker. He’s worked with Tim at different places but Bez made the final calls.

Until Tall does that, he doesn’t deserve the same benefit of the doubt. I don’t trust a lot of this FO for many reasons.

Fair enough, but selling a player primed for a move back to Europe has a lot more nuance, specifically the sell-on clause and not knowing Cucho’s demands — he could have forced this. It isn’t an unexpected sale. The timing is surprising but, also not. Calling for Tall’s job over this is silly.

People can, and often do, say different things publicly and privately. Don’t know if Twellman is speculating or reporting here, but this is the kind of nuance I was referring to. Emotional reactions are fine but the immediate personal attacks on Tall’s competence is what irritated me.

Then why sell? Instead, we signed a midfielder who has some injury woes and 5 goalkeepers. Made no moves to reinforce the defense, which was woeful at the end. We lost Yeboah, matan, Hinnestroza, which is fine, but to do absolutely nothing is egregious. Now Cucho. Possibly Ramirez and Morreira, too.
