A good editor knows their job is to create the best environment for creators (of any kind) to do their best work.
For some folks, that means staying out of their way.
For others, they might need a bit more coaching or cheering on.

Apparently there was comics editor discourse over the weekend.
It's quite simple.
A good editor stays out of the way of good creative. Motivates and realigns when necessary. Creates a safe space for communication.
