So my thoughts on deadzone rogue.
Gun play is solid, enemies are interesting and the enviroments are well made.
Has all the neat features yould expect of a roguelite.
Nice variety of guns for both primary secondary. But melee and grenades are lacking to be anything more than stat sticks.

There certainly is a lean towards certain perks that heavily out shine others.
3 perks you can build into;
Elemental - short/ammo/hip fire/long range/aiming
Crit - same thing
And weakpoint - same thing again
Can have a combination of these up to 3 not including your primary perk.
You then have items you get every other sector to enhance your base capabilities further.
Long range crit with void soul seems to be the most bang for your buck.
Reason being is, long range crit CONPLETELY REMOVES bullet damage drop off and recoil. As well as heavily increases critical chance the farther you are from the target.

This was on hard difficulty and i know the health bar is hard to see but i pushed the boss into its immune phase in a fraction of a second nullifying mechanics.
Zone 2 ramps up being twice as spongy and twice the damage while also introducing several new enemies and mechanics right in the beginning 6 sectors to the mission changing nearly everything about the game.
It stopped my progression dead.
Not to mention while the game does kinda keep you slow its hard to out maneuver some enemies.
