Felt the same, very frustrating, no plan b again, I want to see Burgess, Chaplin & Smodiczs back in the team asap, we’ve gone backwards over the last few weeks

It’s like we’ve lost that L1/Ch mojo of the Band of Brothers.
Yes, the newcomers are good but are they *that* bought into the last two seasons spirit.
I recall the commentary from the Bristol City home game “If you think ITFC are going to wither away in this promotion race, think again”
It’s gone.
The reality is, I am afraid, that we are simply not good enough. Not through a lack of effort or commitment by players old and new. I see a squad of players all trying their hardest, but other teams are simply better
We all thought, or hoped, that Mckenna would be able to work another miracle. We have not had much luck but ultimately we have not made the most of chances we have had. Think most of us under estimated the step up to PL levels. The speed and strength of opposition teams is well ahead of where we are
Definitely, we almost need to start planning for next season and get the players playing that will be here next year and gelling. The only slight glimmer yesterday was Clarke looked decent in the first half, seems to be gaining confidence.
A Hull supporting mate said Philogene was lazy and didn’t track back, not seen any sign of that. If we can keep the bulk of the players we have I think we’ll start to enjoy football again next season
Am sorry but that is rubbish. Philogene worked his socks off last night tracking back to support Axel. Generally started a bit further back than Saturday but was still full on in attack as well
Wholeheartedly agree with this. Of course it goes without saying that we’ll get the best out of this squad in the Champ with McKenna and team. I really hope he’s still bought into the journey.
I hope so too but if not then he’ll go with our best wishes and we move on. Whoever replaces him, whenever that is, will find us in a damn sight better position than when he joined, with a great squad, board and infrastructure
