It is not the mere appearance of one's E.G.O. that would determine a proper fit, but rather what aspect of humanity it is that you would represent and how well that would resonate with each person. You represent having a goal in mind, one that you will pursue no matter what, and something you
aspire towards. Thus, from how each of the sinners hold their own goals in joining this company, your E.G.O. would realistically suit any of them, though, Faust believes it'd be especially so for Ishmael in particular.
