I'm a Vtuber because of neither of those things.

It's because it matches my alter human/otherkin identity. Plus I don't have to dress up all the time while streaming.

kind of a weird and aggrssive way of putting it. seems like a false dichotimy to say any vtuber is either "deathly shy" or a trendhopping poser.

I started because I wanted a way to deal with my severe social anxiety and I was originally just a disembodied voice on videos and stream.

IRL still a work in progress but the part of me that's online and anonymous definitely feels more confident.
