In Vera (I've been staying up all night and watching them all since my tutor suggested it - I'm midway through S7) the INNOCUOUS DETAIL in act 1 is more subtle, but in Patience, it's standing on a podium with flashing lights, a loudhailer, and its trousers round its ankles, at least to me.
