Coming back to look at this again, and I just really love the lighting on Dion’s skin, as well as the soft curls of his hair. It’s a nice contrast to what is actually taking place. Lovely.

Lighting is often a challenge for me, so getting complimented on it motivates me to get more practice! I wanted this piece to have a "serene afternoon" type of atmosphere, which indeed serves to create contrast with the subject matter. I'm grateful for the love for this piece 🫶🏼

I completely understand. I recently started creating art again after 17 years and lighting is always a challenge, but you have done it beautifully here.
