I grew up in the Upper South, hockey was unknown before TV. My Uncle was radio man in the Army & bought a TV when he got out. They ran across a hockey game. Hockey was the polite word for 'shit' there. Grandma was stunned, 'Why in the world would they name a game after shit?'
