Spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories about Signal is actively harmful and could mislead people into using less-secure messaging apps, or throwing up their hands and saying "well I guess nothing is really private so i won't even try to avoid surveillance."
That could get someone killed.

1. Signal is the most secure messaging option available to most people. Use it every day.
2. From a policy perspective, the US gov should not be discussing top secret info in a group chat... on any messaging app
3. Criticize the US government, don't spread misinfo about Signal
1) They were talking about stuff that should have been on official Government/Military channels only on a civilian app.
2) They weren't secure because they invited A JOURNALIST FROM THE ATLANTIC to the chat.
3) ...while congratulating themselves on OPSEC
Even if they put Signal on their gov't device, there's still a crime.
It's comparable, if opposite, to me owning a nuke and claiming 2nd amendment coverage.
The gov't has more powerful, secure, tools. I only have Signal...but I also don't have nukes to secure.
Actually no that kinda sucks unless you're into Bluey marathons
Great minds etc
