Assuming that history is the same until the 1090s with the First Crusade, in 1066 you have the Norman invasion of England. But the Norman invasion of Ireland didn't happen until the 1100s, so knowing what they are too busy dealing with the Heretic naval forces or stuff like that.

As near as I can figure, English colonization of Ireland didn't happen. It's interesting to speculate about an Ireland free of the depredations of the English!
I think the Protestant Reformation didn't happen either (or was brutally suppressed), so Eire is gonna need a new flag minus the orange bit.

Also both Eire and Alba resent England for walling up their coastline and becoming insular when they could be using their military power to aid their Christian neighbors. So in this timeline they're mad at England for *NOT* sending troops to their countries
