I do not want the taxpayers on the hook for massive subsidization of a Canada Post service that is offered by several other private companies that deliver the same or better service without taxpayer subsidy.

Postal banking, if done when first brought up by the union more than a decade ago, would result in us not having this conversation. Many European countries have introduced postal banking to huge revenues. Canada had it for a hundred years before the greed of banks overtook it.

Yes, that’s why I said “more than a decade ago”. Finally doing the right thing doesn’t help. Doing it when it was necessary and we wouldn’t be discussing it. Bottom line is the complete mismanagement of this corporation over the past decade shouldn’t be taken out…
