Or, Canada Post can compete in all areas without government bailouts.
I am OK with that, too.

Currently, it appears Canada Post can not compete without some sort of change... which no one seems to offer a solution for.

Postal banking, if done when first brought up by the union more than a decade ago, would result in us not having this conversation. Many European countries have introduced postal banking to huge revenues. Canada had it for a hundred years before the greed of banks overtook it.

Unless time travel gets invented, there is no point in bringing up the should have or could have. This is a now and going forward problem and it has to be solved.

And the idea government should subsidize with a bottomless pit of money forever is ridiculous. I want my tax money spent on things like health care, not bailout of a company that can not or refuses to compete.
