Pearly everlasting (Anaphalis margaritacea) is a common and widespread native wildflower across N. America. It is an important host plant for the Painted Lady butterfly π¦ and bees π adore it. It's perfect for sunny dry areas. It's named for its pearly sheen and it makes an excellent dried flower.

Really pretty little guys, also love soil that is poorly
Filling the same ecological niche (sunny/dry requirements) we have LOTS of plantain-leaved pussy-toes (Antennaria plantaginifolia), also a host for the Painted Lady. Makes a nice native ground cover.
