So you think it is impossible for those differences in sex might extend to something that we haven't discovered yet. And that gender couldn't possibly be even more ambiguous than sex because a great deal of it is about socialization and norms. And that seems like a rational conclusion to you? (2)
We know that there are myriad ways people can be intersex, ranging from differences in visible genitalia to internal structure to chromosomal differences that could exist w/out a person ever knowing w/out happening to have had a test that caught it. And that knowledge has expanded over time. (1)
