Both parties have fostered a mentality where public ed should be your last "choice"- a hole-riddled safety net for the undeserving. THere's no sense in Australia of pub ed being a public good, being a place to build social cohesion, to give opportunities to all. That's why nobody fights for it.

#SmashTheDuopoly vote for minor parties or independents who support properly funded schools and teachers who are paid what they're worth, free public education for all.
After year 10, kids from the Catholic school would come to the public school to do years 11 and 12.
The gap in their educational knowledge was significant.
Not everyone is born into money … all children deserve a chance.
Unless we change it, it becomes a forever war on progress for all.
And that just doesn’t sit right with me.
Opportunity will make the world a better place for all.
Not a good thing.

They should complete the aircon this year. It did have to wait until they fixed the leaking roofs.
Shocking dereliction of Aussie potential.
Need to organise better for impact.
Both parties are the same.
“More money for the rich, the poor don’t deserve it”.
Bastards.
The C’wlth would provide 60% of that amount to Systemic and Congregational Schools in that State
The States, Territories would then “top it up”, with NSW @ 25% , others around or less
So in the ACT it’s only 16.5%, but in $ terms it’s close to NSW $ amount
The “remainder” would be garnered from “school fees”
Now here’s the rub;
John Winston Fucking Howard’s special grants to Private Schools
THE NUMBER OF MULTI YEAR “SPECIAL PURPOSE GRANTS”to these systems is at the expense of Public School funding
