Tariffs present a troubling issue: pay more, or invest a ton of money in a new factory that will be done in, at best, a year or two.
Then there is new machines, new employees, training, etc.
It is a huge investment... but...
Well, you do not make that huge investment. No new jobs come home.
They have decisions to make as well. They could invest in American factories, but why would they if the tariffs are simply going to be repealed in a week?
But the president has made the United States an erractic, chaotic trade partner - if the word partner even applies.
Now, these nations are starting to figure out how they can continue without the United States.
China. Let that sink in.
Other nations are beginning to form trade alliances without the USA.
They are facing the cold, hard truth: America is not a reliable trade partner.
The "Great" in "Make America Great Again," was not supposed to mean Great Depression.
