At some point (probably not anytime soon), people will realize "Physical vs Digital" never existed.
The fight is "DRM (tethered) vs UNTETHERED media".
We all have our "favorite" digital data on some form of physical storage (disc or mass storage) that we packrat. It can all be lost or destroyed.

For games, it's weirder. People act like going to a store to buy a disc makes it more physical, but the console still needs internet SOMEWHERE to get the patches (including through flash drives).
FTMP: DRM is the issue at console level.
However, the Steam games are Steam locked.
Just NOT those "other" games I installed too: fan games, Itchio, & OTHERS.
The fight is TETHERED Media (to them) vs UNTETHERED media (copyable/convertable) and the RIGHTS to do so.
VHS players are gone, eventually DVD will be too. So... Untether!
Did we forget we already know how to SCAN books and convert them to PDFs?
It's not "physical book better", it's digital book tethered to Amazon or Google. I have PLENTY of UNTETHERED (.)epub and (.)pdf ebooks in my Cloud storage, I promise you!
