I wish he were right but as long as you have an authoritarian in office, they don’t seem to understand the language of peace and we as liberals need to start discussing contingency plans. I love this BUT you cannot reason with unreasonable people. When you are a target of deep seated hatred, no amount of humility and grace saves you. You need look no further than the mass graves in Germany, the prisons in Russia or talk to the people in Syria.
