just any brush really!!!! w/e im feelin in da moment. anything that doesnt come out perfectly opaque since it does the blending for me (my favs rn are DAUB brushes!) as for ref. somethin i drew up real quick for this specifically! dw too much abt clothes, as long as its Very Little clothes it works.
