She’s got inner strength for sure. Some people claim she’s all talk, but they tend not to live in her district. I have longtime friends who are longtime residents in her district; they support AOC because she is there for her constituents.

Have you noticed the “king” announcements? As a lifelong fan of one actual 20th c monarch, I find the White House behavior troubling. There’s no framework in the US for dealing with a monarch. The media reaction is much too relaxed, and I am concerned. To say the least.

I know, it’s quite troubling. Some US friends made fun of Canada for observing certain rituals after she died. I was too polite (perhaps even passive-aggressive?) to comment on their naivete.

I have difficulty parsing Trump between dictator and tyrant, may go with dicrant. But I find abhorrent every form of anti-egalitarianism ... including royalty and all its ceremonial/psychological bull excrement.
