so a bit of a heads up, if you get someone in your dm's innocuously claiming that your account sent them a spam link and they want to send over proof via discord: don't. It's a hijack attempt.

what they tried was suggesting that my account had sent them a phishing link and they reported me, but then asked to send proof to help resolve it via discord but requested I add them first. I didn't let it get that far but supposedly they send a link themselves that gives them access to your stuff.
Hmm, interesting variant. The one I'm familiar with is that they claim Discord requires you to appeal the report to avoid account deletion and criminal prosecution for "hacking," and refer you to a "moderator" who then has you change the email on your Discord account to the phisher's.
That recently happened to me. I entertained them for a while, because the dms came from an artist account i followed, but then i got suspicious because of the way the messages were worded. Just sounded very bot like and they didn't really answer my questions.
