I don't think they were driven out. They shot themselves in the foot by opening stores that were a pale comparison to Target stores in the states. Canadians just stopped shopping there.
At least I did. I was so excited they were coming to 🇨🇦. Loved Target in the States. What a big letdown that was.

They were the ones not even trying. Went there once after open. It was a very pale, empty comparison of the US stores. Shelves half empty, next to no selection for anything. It was destined to fail.

Moreso that they completely collapsed than that we chased them out. Every mistake they could make, they did.
