GotY should NOT include Expansions and Remakes.
They should be wholly new games, and sequels to existing franchises are fine.

Personally I just want to see better award categories like Best DLC & Best Remake / Remaster. Also, they can give more time to the devs accepting awards by dropping all the esports categories plus content creator. This is about the games not people playing them or talking about them.
