This is not the usual brainless show with gratuitous violence. The first season was as brilliant a satire about capitalism as I’ve ever seen. Season 2’s main target is people who vote against their own interests in democracy as happened in S Korea with Yoon & in US w Trump. Yoon was a disaster.
Dude, I understand your feelings because the closest we get to real satire is superficial sarcasm or light direct invective which comes out as insult humor. All the great satires were unpopular when published. Hwang Dong-Hyuk has really written a great allegory about modern society
For example, the extreme competitiveness of our culture. There are layers to his work; something we are not used to in our remakes of comic book series. Not that our usual fare is bad, it just doesn’t have the depth of some Korean works such as Parasite.
You gotta stop this split "season" bs. That was oke when COVID shut everything down in 2020. It's 2025 and that's not going to fly. I might as well subscribe to spectrum and wait weekly for new episodes. Da fuq!?
Because its season 3. Whether you think season 2 should have been longer etc doesn't matter. I don't mean to sound rude, it's just a fact. It's like sherlock season 1 ending, season 2 was a continuauton but that doesn't mean its not another season.
Obviously, a franchise always need to keep cliffhangers for future seasons. But, the problem here is, it literally ended without resolving anything. Something akin to the worst Lost seasons. :)
