Had to read article to check and be sure he said the same thing again. Yep. "This is how we learn." NASA wasn't perfect by any stretch, but they did get some rockets up into the sky.

Unlike Starship, the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket has a success rate of over 99% in 390 launches and has ferried 36 astronauts safely to the ISS. Not sure why this success doesn't translate to Starship, but it is a far more complex design.
