There are tons of free resources for evac info; LAFD and the Watchduty app have been extremely helpful and amplified on local news and social media. I haven’t encountered a single paywall for any info.
Reminds me of the fires in NWT and how they were impacted by Facebooks pissing match with the Canadian government (no longer allows news links to be shared). Those fires disproportionately impacted Indigenous peoples.
Aye, I did an earlier thread on some of my reflections on this. But they will be overlooked in favour of those who are the loudest (due to their platforms) and those the media are focusing on.
