I wouldn't risk it at all. The airports here in Australia generally have stronger CT scanners these days, so you don't even need to remove the laptop from your bag.Yikes!
I just put my film in a ziplock & ask them to check by hand. They usually do a quick explosives swab. Nobody has refused me yet.

Thanks, will take a look. I’m based in the UK, and annoyingly I hear that at Heathrow they don’t hand check bags. So bracing myself for one scan, but will try and get a hand check on way back in Miami I think.

Might be worth checking their website for this info. The airport in my city had info about hand-checked items on their webpage.

I had no issue getting a hand check at LCY just last week. Especially with the new xray machines, they’re more conscious about the need.

Also note that if you aren’t flying direct to Miami, you’ll have to go through security again for the transfer flight. The TSA in the US will always hand check.

I went through several airports in November. I was told the same as you and the film was fine (ISO 200). The non UK airports seemed more willing to hand inspect.

Have heard that - flying from Heathrow I think, so prepared for them not hand checking. I take it all the photos came out ok?
