The most affluent 10% (750 million out of 7.5 billion) of the global population were responsible for 49% of greenhouse emissions in 2015. (So far, this is the most recent analysis I've found that has detail, see the chart on page 9 of this link. https://www.sei.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/research-report-carbon-inequality-era.pdf ) It's not just numbers.
