While comparisons to Nazis/other fascist regimes elsewhere are apt and all, from the genocide of indigenous people to forced labor in U.S. prisons to Red Scare policies to internment camps to torture to this, the Trump administration is truly most easily compared to preexisting fascism in the *U.S.*

If they can pull it off, it will happen here too. As the descendants of the Confederacy love to say, "the south shall rise again", and that's what they're talking about. A culture that is made up of a white aristocracy, white serfs, and black slaves.
