dasher (https://www.inference.org.uk/dasher/) is one of my favorite old software oddities but if it was made today they would try shoving an LLM into it

unfortunately two of its lead developers passed away in 2017, and it's been in stasis since then. there was an attempt to rebuild it as a webapp that didn't get very far
