I have always loved black and white photography. In my mind it makes you more in tune to the image. Your brain has to imagine the colours and the textures. The missing information in the shot makes you look at it harder and more closely. In my opinion any way!! great shot!
This is an interesting choice. It drew my focus immediately to the eye, which may not have happened as intensely with the full color version.
