One of the big issues i don't think Trump and pretty much any of his ghouls seem to even think about that unlike on domestic policy where it seems most of the US has just capitulated this is not a thing on international politics. They can't make countries do things they don't want to.

The US bases in Europe are pretty critical to a whole lot of operations that have absolutely nothing to do with Europe at all. I guess the US can try to do their war on Iran or whatever else without bases in Europe would be much harder. Not to mention nobody sane believe this US admin protects
