What is the "Palestine" of Cai's post that can be considered responsible for supposedly being "politically toxic?" Palestine has no government of unquestioned legitimacy and a clear mandate to act in its interests. Such an institution does not exist.

In addition to your well-made points, can we just zero in on 'especially the civillians'. I am going to go out on a limb here and say the actions of civillians (age, to repeat, average age before the war: 15!) are not, in fact, 'especially' bad compared to, y'know, Hamas fighters.

The entire nation cannot be responsible by definition unless you are a racist. This isn't me throwing accusations around this is me simply stating that by definition the idea that blood guilt exists is racist
